I’ve posted posits periodically on the real-life superhero movement, perhaps most famously exhibited by Seattle’s Phoenix Jones. I’ve contemplated what this says about American individualism, about responses to violence, and about personal responsibility, as well as the realities of self-defense. He’s been beaten, stabbed, drawn, interviewed, filmed, and even arrested and unmasked by the SPD. Well, there’s been an interesting new twist:
Unclear if this is at all serious, of course, but it’ll be interesting to follow… to my knowledge, while some people take the superhero movement very seriously, nobody has as yet put themselves forward as a super villain.
